Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) school for classical horsemanship will open its first campus outside Europe on Jubail Island on November 1. The initiative is under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The Abu Dhabi school becomes the fifth ADREA campus globally, following Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France. Covering 65,000 square metres, the facility embodies a horse-first philosophy, ensuring comfort, care, and harmony between horse and rider through both design and training methodologies.
State-of-the-art facilities and cultural offerings
The campus features a climate-controlled arena for 1,200 spectators, 60 air-conditioned stables with advanced monitoring systems, and a veterinary facility with a rehabilitation clinic. Additional amenities include training arenas and shaded riding tracks, creating an optimal environment for both horses and athletes.
Beyond equestrian training, ADREA integrates cultural and educational spaces. The Furussiya Gallery displays rare artefacts tracing horsemanship across centuries and civilisations. The school also hosts one of the world’s largest equestrian libraries, containing over 10,000 volumes, while its saddle-making atelier preserves and advances traditional craftsmanship at the highest level.
Comprehensive education for riders of all levels
Education lies at the heart of ADREA’s mission. Programs range from the Junior Academy to a four-year Rider Degree, welcoming young riders, including Children of Determination. Accredited pathways cover every stage of development, ensuring students gain technical skill, historical knowledge, and cultural understanding.
