For India’s 76th Independence Day, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi hosted an art festival. The three-day Azadi Art Festival, which began on August 13, celebrated Indian art and artists in a special way with Artscrafts, a one-stop shop for anything artistic.
In the presence of numerous other distinguished individuals, the festival’s chief guest, Dhruv Mishra IFS, Second Secretary (Political Affairs), officially opened it.
At the festival where the Indian community and Emiratis joined together to celebrate art, the venue was decorated with floral accents, and artists produced a massive floral rangoli that reflected Indian culture in every aspect.
“This art festival captures the spirit of the country. Anil Kejriwal, the founder and CEO of Artscrafts, said that although we are honouring art, we are also celebrating our lives as patriotic Indians.
Dance performances, art galleries and exhibitions, live painting, children’s artwork, creative workshops, and interactive talks on all things artistic were all on display for festival attendees.
Kids received medals and T-shirts from Artscrafts as a mark of appreciation. Eminent artists from several UAE emirates participated in the live painting, which commemorated India’s cultural past.
