adidas Originals introduces the Forum Cubism SQ as a reworked take on the 1984 Forum. With this release, the brand shifts toward a modern and sculptural direction. Instead of relying on overt nostalgia, the design blends sneaker heritage with dress-shoe formality. As a result, the model adopts a square-toed profile and an elevated heel that signal a more refined positioning.
Design Details
The silhouette launches in two monochrome colorways, “Core Black” and “Cream White.” Both versions are constructed from premium leather, while smooth leather 3-Stripe overlays appear in contrasting tones. Meanwhile, the restrained palette continues across the laces and tongue, reinforcing the minimalist approach. In contrast, a gold-tone Trefoil on the tongue adds a measured note of polish. To finish the design, two metallic screw-like details sit at the front of the square sole. Consequently, the shoe gains a distinctive edge without disrupting its clean lines.
Release Information
From a market standpoint, the Forum Cubism SQ arrives with a retail price of ¥18,700, or about $121. The model carries SKUs JP9073 and JR9744. Moreover, the release is scheduled for December 19 through adidas retail channels.
