In the vibrant realm of Emirati visual arts, one name shines brightly, captivating hearts and minds with her exceptional talent and creativity – Al Anood Al Obeidli. Hailing from the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Al Obeidli has carved her path as a remarkable visual artist, leaving an indelible mark on the art scene.

Al Obeidli’s artistic journey began at the prestigious College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, Zayed University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts in 2013. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for her to explore the depths of her artistic expression and experiment with diverse mediums, techniques, and concepts.

A pivotal moment in Al Obeidli’s career came when she became an esteemed alumna of the Emerging Artists Fellowship Program under the Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation in Abu Dhabi in 2014. This incredible opportunity provided her with invaluable guidance, mentorship, and exposure to the art world’s intricacies.

The artistry of Al Anood Al Obeidli speaks volumes, transcending cultural boundaries and resonating with audiences worldwide. Her masterpieces have graced numerous group exhibitions, garnering admiration and acclaim. Among these notable showcases include the Zayed University Alumni Works at Bait15 in 2018, a captivating event celebrating the artistic prowess of Zayed University graduates.

In 2016, her art found a home at the East-East exhibition held at New York University Abu Dhabi, where her unique perspective and storytelling capabilities captivated visitors. The Noah’s Ark exhibition at Sharjah Art Museum that same year presented her works alongside those of other esteemed artists, creating a harmonious symphony of creativity and imagination.

A highlight in Al Obeidli’s journey was her participation in the Art: Process & Practice exhibition organized by the Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation in 2015. Here, she showcased the evolution of her artistic process, allowing audiences to witness the magic that unfolds behind the scenes.

One cannot overlook the significance of the Turning Point exhibition at Tashkeel, Dubai, in 2014, which served as a defining moment in Al Obeidli’s career. This event served as a stepping stone, propelling her towards greater recognition and opening doors to new possibilities.
