As part of its commitment to supporting social responsibility initiatives and programmes, Al Majaz Amphitheatre has made an open call for participants in a new programme titled “Initiatives” to encourage and support up-and-coming young talents and university students in the UAE with specializations in art, design, and architecture.

By January 14, 2023, students were asked to submit their finest conceptual and artistic concepts for an artwork that would be created in the middle of Al Majaz Island in Sharjah. In March 2023, the winning project will be chosen. According to Alya Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the project is part of Al Majaz Amphitheatre’s objectives to encourage emerging artists and bright students around the nation.

In order to immortalize the winning concept as a symbol of innovation in the United Arab Emirates, a lovely memorial with the contestant’s name and their university next to the winning design will be erected at the entrance to the Al Majaz Amphitheatre. The winner will be revealed through several media outlets.

It must be emphasized that the materials used in the installation must be described in the design project proposal, taking into account the installation’s dimensions, the effects of the weather outside, and any other relevant production-related information. Additionally, the installation may be interactive, dynamic, or static.
