For one month, the Korea Festival will feature live performances, exhibitions, film screenings, and lectures. According to Nam Chan-woo, director of the Korean Cultural Centre, “The Korea Festival, which celebrates its 10th year this year, is aimed to appreciate Korean culture throughout the United Arab Emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Sharjah, and Dubai.”
Most of the events will take place at the Yas Creative Hub on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, but some of the performances will also take place elsewhere. They are hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and organized by the Korean Culture Center in the UAE. The event’s goal is to introduce a larger audience to both traditional and contemporary Korean culture.
