Matteo Violet Vianello, Anoma’s founder and a GPHG academy member, highlights the inspiration behind the new release. “Our goal was to create a design that is pure and understated, with a timeless elegance,” he explains. Choosing black for this iteration reflects the brand’s philosophy of blending bold presence with subtle discretion.

The dial features a vertically brushed finish combined with triangular lacquered patterns, creating a dynamic visual effect. Depending on the angle of light, the surface transitions from a deep glossy black to a nuanced two-tone appearance. This interplay of textures enhances the watch’s understated sophistication.
The A1 Slate maintains the sculptural form of the original A1 model. Encased in a 39mm stainless steel frame, it offers a sleek and lightweight profile. Its curved, lug-less design allows for a comfortable fit, giving it a refined yet contemporary feel. The design draws inspiration from mid-century aesthetics, particularly a 1950s Charlotte Perriand coffee table, showcasing a balance of art and functionality.
