Fatma Lootah is an exceptional name in the art world. A native to the UAE, Fatma studied at the Art Academy of Baghdad. She later moved to Washington D.C. in 1979 to further her art education.
Fatma excels in abstract art as well as performance art. Her artwork embodies and reflects her hometown, the UAE, the Emirati culture, and the people. She is a household name in the world of art, especially hailed for minimizing the gap between the West and the East through portraying her culture in her artwork.

Her first solo exhibition themed ‘Desert and The People of the Reddish Dune’ was held in Dubai, in 2009. Her career includes performance art experience but Fatma leans more towards abstract art.
