In Milan, Audi revealed the Concept C, a striking all-electric two-seat sports car that introduces its new design philosophy. The unveiling, themed “Strive for Clarity,” highlighted Audi’s pursuit of radical simplicity in a complex world. The Concept C embodies minimalism, precision, and innovation while previewing the future of the brand’s models. This philosophy extends beyond design, guiding products, processes, and corporate structures to focus on what truly matters.
From every angle, the Concept C demonstrates clean, restrained surfaces intersected by a single line. The new Audi face features a vertical frame with a distinctive four-element light signature. Its roof concept combines coupé-like elegance with open-top freedom, while a minimalist interior ensures an intuitive and emotional experience. “Our history is marked by bold leaps in innovation and state-of-the-art technology combined with an uncompromising focus on clarity in design,” emphasizes Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.
Vertical frame and refined proportions
The vertical frame shapes the Concept C’s front, creating presence and identity. Inspired by the Auto Union Type C and third-generation Audi A6, it represents a progressive interpretation of the brand’s legacy. A strong shoulder line and central-battery layout define the car’s proportions. The electrically retractable hardtop, a first for an Audi roadster, allows a monolithic body shape while delivering an open-top driving experience.
At the rear, clean surfaces and horizontal slats emphasise sportiness. Four horizontally arranged light elements in each headlight and rear light establish a new visual identity. Finished in “Titanium,” the exterior balances technical elegance with strength and precision. Inside, anodized aluminium controls provide tactile quality, while titanium-inspired tones and natural materials create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere. Subtle ambient lighting further enhances solidity and refinement.
Innovation guiding Audi’s future
Technology in the Concept C follows a “shy tech” approach: always present but never overwhelming. A 10.4-inch foldable display adapts to context, while haptic controls ensure clarity in every interaction. This balance of technology and design reflects Audi’s ethos of intelligence, emotion, and precision.
The Concept C previews a future production model and signals the company’s broader transformation. “The way we design our vehicles is the way we will shape our company,” says Döllner. The new philosophy will influence Audi’s product range and organisational structure.
By the end of this year, Audi will have launched more than 20 models within 24 months, making its portfolio the youngest in the premium segment. Upcoming releases include an entry-level electric model built in Ingolstadt from 2026 and new performance cars from Audi Sport. That same year, Audi enters Formula 1, using motorsport as a laboratory for innovation. Preparations, according to Döllner, are “moving at full speed.”
