Emarati artist Badria Shamsi is poised to captivate art enthusiasts with her upcoming participation in the Emarati Women Day exhibition organized by the Breath Creativity team. Set to unfold at Dubai’s Art of Living Centre from August 28th to 31st, 2023, the event promises a celebration of Emarati beauty. Shamsi’s contribution, an acrylic on canvas masterpiece measuring 90×60 cm, is a testament to her commitment to empowering women through her art. The painting emanates an alluring aura, exuding grace and confidence. With bold strokes and vibrant colors, Badria Shamsi crafts eyes that command attention, reflecting strength and control. Her women are not just beautiful; they embody fearlessness and empowerment. This piece is a glimpse into her upcoming portrait series, a crescendo leading to her solo exhibition slated for 2024.

In tandem with her exhibition, September brings a momentous release: an Artbook/Art Catalogue chronicling Shamsi’s artistic journey. Crafted under the curation of Vanessa Viti and Elisabetta Eliotropio, this book delves into her evolution from inception to mastery. A highlight is the “Gathering” series, featuring 20 select paintings alongside insightful analysis by ten prominent global art curators and critics. Rooted in her interpretation of human emotions, this series becomes a canvas for the complexity that binds and distinguishes individuals. Shamsi’s work echoes Eleanor Roosevelt’s wisdom: “Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.” Through her art, Shamsi indeed explores the profound.
