International hospitality brand Bob W has launched its first Swedish property at Kammakargatan 5 in Stockholm’s Norrmalm district. Housed within a renovated 1965 structure, the apartment hotel combines fully equipped studios with a fully digital guest experience, catering to both short- and extended-stay visitors.

Note Design Studio, led by co-founders Johannes Karlström and Jesper Mellgren, has created interiors that bridge the building’s original 1960s brutalist architecture with Stockholm’s lively, modern energy. The design balances the restrained exterior with interiors featuring bold, saturated colours, bespoke vintage furnishings, and playful, eccentric detailing. Monochromatic corridors guide guests toward suites and shared spaces, turning each area into a chapter in the city’s evolving story.

Sustainability and Technology at the Core

In line with Bob W’s ethos, Note Design Studio preserved much of the original structure, intervening only where necessary to enhance functionality and aesthetic impact. Guests enjoy a seamless, digital-first experience, combining home-like comfort with intuitive technology. CEO Niko Karstikko emphasises that “every detail is a nod to the city’s creative culture,” ensuring authenticity and effortless service throughout the stay.

Future Collaborations

The Stockholm property is the first of several collaborations between Bob W and Note Design Studio. Their next project transforms a 7,500-square-metre former police station in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District into a 169-room flagship apartment hotel, slated to open in October 2027.
