Italian brands C.P. Company and Alessi unveiled a multi-layered collaboration at Milan Design Week, combining an apparel capsule with a limited-edition coffee set built around a shared design philosophy.
At the centre of the release, the steel Alessi 9090 espresso maker featured a black PVD finish designed to develop a distinct patina over time. Moreover, the evolving surface mirrored C.P. Company’s garment-dyed pieces, which change through repeated wash and wear. Brass-coloured accents added contrast, while the matte coating softened the metallic profile.
Additionally, the espresso maker came alongside a matching moka set and mug designed by Jean Nouvel, as well as a geometric tray by Enzo Mari. As a result, the collection extended beyond a single product into a broader design offering. The special-edition C.P. Company 9090 was limited to 999 numbered pieces.
Apparel capsule draws on archival references
The collaboration also included a nylon Alessi x C.P. Company Overshirt released in three exclusive colourways. Moreover, two shades — Deep Lavender and Malachite Green — took inspiration from vintage Alessi factory uniforms designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1983. A third deep blue version completed the range.

Each overshirt featured embroidered Alessi and C.P. Company wordmarks placed side by side. Therefore, the apparel line reinforced the partnership’s identity through subtle branding rather than heavy design changes.
The collection is available through both brands’ official websites and flagship stores.
