C.P. Company has joined forces with Sashiko Gals for an exclusive 15-piece capsule collection. Based in Ootsuchi, Sashiko Gals is dedicated to preserving sashiko, a centuries-old Japanese stitching technique used for reinforcing and repairing fabric.
Since its launch in 2024, the initiative has supported ongoing recovery efforts from the Great East Japan Earthquake. As a result, 15 skilled artisans now craft unique designs, ensuring this traditional art form remains relevant. More importantly, their work highlights the beauty of hand-stitched textiles in modern fashion.
A Fusion of Function and Artistry
For this collaboration, artisans carefully embroidered C.P. Company jackets using the sashiko method. Notably, each jacket is crafted from the brand’s signature Chrome-R fabric, which enhances durability and comfort. Additionally, the designs feature a full zip and three hand-sewn pockets, made from upcycled materials like FLATT NYLON, CO-TED, and TAYLON P.
The collection comes in three distinct colors—olive, black, and cobalt blue. Because only 15 pieces exist, these jackets blend contemporary streetwear with heritage craftsmanship, making them highly desirable for collectors.
Limited Availability in Japan
Each jacket is priced at ¥115,000 JPY (approximately $764 USD). Furthermore, the collection will be available exclusively at a pop-up event in the Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building from April 5 to April 9.
At this time, these pieces remain exclusive to Japan. However, fans can explore C.P. Company’s latest Palace collaboration and stay tuned for potential international releases.
