Carlos Delgado Aleman is a contemporary artist based in South Florida, USA. He initially worked as a product designer for a tech and media company before pursuing his passion for art and becoming a part-time art teacher for young people. Carlos’s art is heavily influenced by his students’ love for Japanese anime and his long-held fascination with Asian art.
Carlos’s fascination with Asian art began with a visit to a Japanese Museum in 1995. Since then, he has been interested in exploring the different perspectives that art can offer. His work is often described as spiritual, as many of his pieces depict subjects with inner light or otherworldly illumination. Carlos’s goal is to create pieces that evoke a sense of wonder and mystery, inviting the viewer to contemplate the deeper meaning behind the images.
His work explores the intersection of identity, pop culture, and transcendence. His artistic style is characterized by bold, vibrant colors and acrylic techniques that respond to Asian inspiration, including Chinese landscape paintings and Japanese woodblock prints. Carlos has exhibited his work at Art Palm Beach and has been featured on PBS’s Art Loft television program and numerous gallery shows in South Florida.
Carlos Delgado Aleman aims to capture the unknowable, ethereal, and ineffable with each new painting. He creates art that tells a story and has a deeper meaning, which speaks to the viewer on an emotional level.
Carlos’s art also reflects his personal values and beliefs, which he channels through his work. He believes that art can be a powerful force for social change and is dedicated to using his art to raise awareness of important issues.
