Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of you into what you do. It’s being who you are and doing what comes naturally, says Smitha S Nair, a Bachelors in Computer Engineering graduate who worked as an engineer in a reputed firm in Dubai. Even while working, she was always searching for a way to explore her creativity. Colors and its blends in all forms has been something she has ardently loved since a very young age.
For Smitha, both creativity and passion reinforce and accentuates each other and brings out the best art form. Getting attracted by the hidden patterns and making connections between things that aren’t normally related is her way of coming up with new ideas.
Though being an engineer by profession her passion always remained for art. She is currently pursuing a career as a creative content artist for an Arabic knowledge and culture content startup named ‘Wadeh Wasareeh’ which means ‘clear and candid’, currently in its launching process. “The pre-launch support activities itself challenged the artist in me and I am thoroughly enjoying every bit of it, showcasing my artistic vision and drawing skills as to suit the given content. Getting to work with such a passionate team brings the best out of me”, she says. When asked who her inspiration is, she says that she finds inspiration everywhere. In her short career period, she has exhibited her art work with solo galleries at various local and International platforms like World Art Dubai, Aayam Art Exhibition New Delhi etc. with many more exciting events coming up in the future.
According to her, creating a strong customer connection is very important for any successful artist. She makes sure to try and connect with her customers by sharing the inspiration and the creative process behind the piece. For her, it’s not just about a sale. She stays up to date with what’s happening in the art industry all over the world which helps her to reach out and identify her clients and stay on their radar.
Making it in the art world isn’t merely a game of luck. It takes vision and determined effort. Smitha consciously keeps her thoughts, words and actions aligned to her goals, and works with confidence and positivity. Every time her art piece finds a new home, or every effort that she puts in to be a part of an artwork she is ecstatic and makes sure to give it her best.
“Trust yourself. You are worthy of whatever height you’ve set for yourself.”, Smitha says. To know more about her work, head on to her website: https://simpli-said.com and Instagram @simiaero.
