“The idea behind my art is to sculpt a persona onto the canvas, breathe life into her character and shape her emotions. I try to capture the magic of nature’s fleeting moment, to try saving the essence” says Lina

Lina Redford is an exciting painter based in Spain who has exhibited her work internationally. Inspired by her multicultural background and the people she met during her travels, Lina’s goal in her art is to represent uniqueness on a canvas. Currently living in Spain, Lina is inspired by nature and wildlife, producing a series focused on animals.  “The idea behind my art is to sculpt a persona onto the canvas, breathe life into her character and shape her emotions. I try to capture the magic of nature’s fleeting moment, to try saving the essence” says Lina.  Her signature subject is Hummingbird, Lina adores how such a tiny creature can fit so much happiness of life.

According to the artist, the idea behind her art is to sculpt happiness onto the canvas, whether it is a person or a subject. Inject life into the character and shape emotions. She tried to capture the magic of nature’s fleeting moments, to try to save the essence. “When you are looking at the artwork, you can smell the freshness of fruits or feel the weightlessness of hummingbirds’ wings. For this reason, Lina only works with palette knives and thick layers of paint, “says Lina.

Lina Redford is a promising painter based in Spain who has exhibited her work internationally. People- mostly women—are the main subject of her art, with their unique stories forming the background of each canvas. Redford is additionally inspired by nature and wildlife, producing a series focused on animals. Her aesthetic shifts from strong to playful to serene.
