Music enthusiasts have a treat in store as regional musicians perform during the 10-day DAZ Festival at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain from February 10-19. The outdoor festival, which marks the UAE’s vibrant spring season and is located near the historic Al Jahili Fort, offers local and global street food, carnival rides, art and musical performances by regional stars.
The festival is organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi with assistance from Al Ain City Municipality and media partners Emarat FM and Star FM. The DAZ Festival, previously known as the Dar Al Zain Festival, is back in Al Ain with even more family-friendly entertainment.
On February 15, Grammy-nominated Syrian singer Rasha Rizk will perform on the festival stage with her ethereal music. The singer is well-known for her hit songs “Sakru Al Shababik” and “Malak,” whose melodious voice is well-recognized from Arabic theme songs for well-known cartoons.
Popular Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny will dazzle fans on February 16 with electrifying songs like “Erga’aly,” “Bahebak,” and “Awely Kalam.” Hosny entertained music fans of all ages over the course of his 20-year career with more than 15 unique albums. With the single “Smile,” on which he worked with renowned international rapper and musician Shaggy, the artist gained international recognition. He has also shared the stage with celebrities like Snoop Dogg and AKON.
On February 17, Egyptian superstar Ahmed Saad, one of the most renowned musicians in the area, will have guests tapping their feet. His top hits include “Bahebak Ya Sahbi,” “Ya Khosara,” “Eh El Youm El Helo Da,” and “Alyki Ayoun,” as well as well-known songs like “Wasaa Wasaa,” which was produced by him and made it to YouTube’s top 100 list.
On February 19, the dynamic Miami Band will perform on the DAZ Festival stage. The Kuwaiti band Khaleeji has captured the attention of music lovers all over the region, and they will light up the stage with their top-charting songs like “Juwaira,” “Ma’ak Radhi,” and “Ghalay ant ghalay.”
