Dubai Press Club and Dubai Culture and Arts Authority have launched a new phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme, focusing on cultural and creative storytelling across digital platforms. The initiative expands Dubai’s broader strategy to strengthen its creative economy while developing media talent capable of producing culturally driven digital narratives.

Running from June 8 to 19, 2026, the programme will offer 40 hours of workshops and interactive sessions. Participants will explore digital storytelling, visual communication, audience engagement strategies, and AI-powered creative tools. In addition, leading platform specialists and industry experts will deliver hands-on training aligned with evolving global media practices.

The programme also aims to support emerging creators working across art, design, heritage, and cultural content. Consequently, the initiative positions content creation as an increasingly important component of Dubai’s cultural infrastructure and knowledge economy.

Focus on Cultural Identity and Creative Production

Mona Al Marri praised the collaboration between the two institutions and highlighted the programme’s role in supporting Dubai’s creative landscape.

She said, “The Dubai Content Creators Programme serves as an important platform for identifying and developing talent capable of producing content that reflects Dubai’s identity and evolving stories. Through the programme, we aim to empower a new generation of content creators with the tools and skills needed to produce impactful and responsible cultural content that reflects Dubai’s ambitions, strengthens its creative presence, and enriches its cultural landscape.”

Meanwhile, Hala Badri emphasized the programme’s contribution to the emirate’s long-term cultural development strategy.

She said, “The cultural pillar of the Dubai Content Creators Programme marks an important step in developing the capabilities of creative minds and equipping them to produce inspiring narratives that capture Dubai’s story, history, heritage, and achievements through contemporary formats that bring them closer to audiences. Content creation is one of the pillars of the creative economy and a central element in building Dubai’s knowledge- and innovation-based future, given its capacity to keep pace with rapid change and its meaningful role in advancing wider development goals while spotlighting the emirate’s cultural milestones.”

She added, “The value of this initiative lies in its ability to open the door for authentic work that reflects the distinct character of our local culture and gives voice to our customs, traditions, and heritage. It also helps prepare a new generation of creators, artists, and influencers who can connect with audiences and inspire them to engage with our creative landscape. Our backing of the programme reflects our wider responsibilities and sector priorities, which centre on fostering an environment that nurtures talent, growing the cultural and creative industries, and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global centre for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent.”

AI, Digital Storytelling, and Creative Economy Growth

The latest edition builds on the success of previous programme phases dedicated to economic, health, and science-focused media content. However, the 2026 cultural edition places stronger emphasis on creative production, heritage storytelling, and emerging digital technologies.

Maryam Al Mulla said the collaboration will help participants strengthen both technical and creative capabilities through immersive training experiences.

She said the programme will allow creators to explore AI-powered content production while developing engaging cultural narratives connected to Dubai’s arts and creative sectors.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with wider efforts to position Dubai as a regional hub for media innovation, cultural entrepreneurship, and digital creativity. At the same time, it reflects increasing investment in creator education as part of the emirate’s expanding cultural economy framework.

Registration for the programme is now open through Dubai Press Club.
