A ten-bedroom, custom-built mansion on the Palm Jumeirah has sold for a world record Dhs 280 million. Since 2015, the previous long-standing record of Dhs185m has remained unchallenged.

This massive contemporary white home boasts 33,000 square feet of cutting-edge living space, seven-star spa hotel amenities such as a gym and a hair salon, imported and hand-picked book-matched Italian marble, and is furnished by uber-luxury Italian furniture houses Giorgetti and Minotti. After finding a buyer for the unusual property on the prized north fronds of Palm Jumeirah, luxury real estate firm Belleview Real Estate is celebrating breaking the record for a Dubai property sale.

While numerous transactions came close to that figure, Conor McKay, a leading luxury property broker, was the one who closed the purchase. The sale of this Palm Jumeirah mansion set a new record for the highest value residential villa sale in Dubai.

Zhann Jochinke, the COO of Property Monitor, says: “The continued strength of Dubai’s property market, particularly in the ultra-high-end segment, is demonstrated by a transaction of this magnitude. The deal not only shatters Dubai’s previous record, but it also bridges the gap between Dubai’s luxury market and those of major global cities like London, New York, and Hong Kong.”
