Dubai Culture has announced the return of the Talent Atelier programme, a specialised initiative crafted to nurture creativity and refine skills in the jewellery arts. Now in its second edition, the programme is held in collaboration with L’ÉCOLE Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts, and receives support from Van Cleef & Arpels, reinforcing the initiative’s commitment to artistic excellence.
Targeted at Emirati and UAE-based creatives, the programme welcomes applicants from diverse fields including visual arts, jewellery, graphic and interior design, and architecture. Six individuals will be selected to participate in this intensive journey of craftsmanship, mentorship, and international exposure.
Creative Training in Dubai and Paris for Selected Designers
The training phase begins in Dubai Design District (d3), where selected participants will attend workshops at L’ÉCOLE Middle East’s campus from 30 June to 11 July 2025. The immersive experience will then continue in Paris, from 1 to 7 September 2025, at the newly opened L’ÉCOLE France & Europe campus, located on the Grands Boulevards at Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau.
The programme offers not only technical mastery and exposure to historical jewellery arts but also a platform to develop a final project showcasing each designer’s creative evolution.
Applicants must demonstrate a clear artistic vision, an understanding of material versatility, and a commitment to experimentation. The programme prioritises candidates with prior interest or experience in jewellery design, whether through academic training, professional practice, or personal exploration.
Eligibility, Selection Criteria and Application Process
Applications are open until 1 June 2025. A jury of industry professionals and experts will evaluate submissions based on originality, technical skill, and the applicant’s ability to complete the programme’s full cycle. Legal eligibility to travel to both Dubai and Paris is mandatory for all applicants.
Preference will be given to creatives with a demonstrable commitment to growth and the potential to positively impact the UAE’s cultural and design sectors. By combining hands-on experience with global exposure, the Talent Atelier programme positions itself as a vital accelerator for emerging talent in the region’s creative economy.
