Dubai’s very own DJ Bliss, born Marwan Al Awadhi, is set to make history by becoming the first Emirati DJ to headline a show at the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai’s home of live entertainment. The young DJ began his journey in music by mixing tracks to get invited to the cool kids’ high school parties, but has now become one of the most sought-after DJs in the nation.
Bliss rose to fame as the host of ‘That’s Entertainment’ on Dubai One, and has since become the most in-demand DJ in the country, ultimately setting up his own music and events business, Bliss Inc Entertainment. He has had the honor of performing for many acclaimed artists such as Drake, Beyonce, Prince, and Nicki Minaj, and recently collaborated with rapper Shaggy on hit singles “Halla Walla” and “Yalla Africa”, featuring Uganda’s famous dance group, Triplets Ghetto Kids.
Bliss is the star of the Netflix reality TV show, Dubai Bling, which became the most-watched show in the Arab world and the second most-watched regional show globally. The show is set to return for season 2. Bliss expressed his excitement about the upcoming event saying, “I will headline my own event. It might not be a big deal to some people but for a kid born and raised in Dubai, to be able to headline a show in my own city, for my own people, it’s a dream come true!”
The highly anticipated event, scheduled for 19th March, will mark the venue’s first time hosting a headline show by a local DJ. Throughout the evening, prepare for some surprises with familiar faces from the cast of Dubai Bling as they accompany DJ Bliss to dance the night away.
Bliss’ wife, Danya Mohammed, is fully supportive of her husband and says that performing for his city is the most important thing in the world to him. She couldn’t be prouder. Fans of the young DJ can expect an exciting night of music as he mixes his top hits with chart-toppers from well-known artists.
The event promises to be an arena spectacle and begins at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM. Tickets are selling fast, so fans are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
