The UAE has launched a new initiative to highlight Dubai’s exceptional experience, events, and activities. The new initiative #DubaiDestinations is a promotional campaign that invites people to discover the emirate through its many experiences that range from adventure, entertainment, food, art, culture, sports, and fitness, and more.
Presenting the best of the emirate with the world, Dubai Destinations aims to enhance Dubai’s profile as a leading travel destination globally and bring together government departments and the growing creative community to share the same. The new enterprise was announced on Monday at an event attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, chairman of Dubai Media Council.
“This unique campaign leverages the strength of diverse media platforms to highlight the vibrant culture, sights, activities, shows, events and festivities that make Dubai one of the world’s most distinctive destinations,” said Sheikh Ahmed during the event, adding, “The #DubaiDestinations initiative is a tribute to Dubai’s culture of hospitality and its open and inclusive outlook. With a wealth of creative content from diverse sources, this initiative will open many windows into Dubai’s uniqueness as a destination.”
The initiative will see participation from organisations including the Department of Economy and Tourism, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Holding, Dubai Sports Council and the Government of Dubai Media Office. Not just that, even photographers, animators, videographers, social media influencers as well as digital media content creators will be enlisted to highlight Dubai’s top attractions. The Dubai Media Council will develop a #DubaiDestinations calendar featuring engagements for citizens, residents, and visitors, initially focusing on outdoor recreational and adventure opportunities. It will also feature guides designed to help people explore Dubai’s top-rated experiences, campsites, outdoor activities, and homegrown restaurants.
