Dubai Police intends to introduce the second generation of its NFT (non-fungible tokens) during GITEX 2022. After the force’s General Command launched its first edition of NFTs during the second quarter of this year, 22.91 million people throughout the world registered their interest in owning them.

The initial edition included 150 free digital assets centered on the innovation, security and communication ideals of the police force.

According to a statement from Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, director of the general department of artificial intelligence at Dubai Police, more than 7,000 direct communications from participants were sent during the first edition.

All participants were called to validate their digital wallet addresses, and those who satisfied the criteria were selected for a raffle draw, in which 150 people won free digital assets from the Dubai Police.

Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, India, and Nigeria were the main countries to interact with the news following Dubai Police’s announcement.

Furthermore, he stated that a total of 589,173 people viewed the news across social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The Dubai Police is the first government agency in the United Arab Emirates and the first police agency worldwide to produce digital assets. The second collection will debut at GITEX 2022.
