Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone (DSBH) has announced a strategic partnership with Sony Middle East and Africa to strengthen support for entrepreneurs, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within the free zone. The agreement combines Sony’s technology, industry expertise, and educational programmes with DSBH’s business ecosystem, providing founders with practical tools to build stronger brands and scale their businesses in the UAE.

The partnership agreement was signed at Dubai South Headquarters by Saif Al-Ali, Director – Licensing and Free Zone Management, and Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa. Consequently, businesses operating within DSBH will gain access to exclusive Sony offers, professional imaging and audio technology, and a series of workshops covering content creation, digital marketing, brand development, and business growth.

Technology and Skills to Support Business Growth

The collaboration expands the range of services available within Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone beyond company formation. In addition to licensing, visa services, banking partnerships, and post-license support, entrepreneurs will receive hands-on training from Sony specialists to help improve brand communication and digital content production.

Furthermore, the programme aims to address one of the key challenges facing early-stage businesses: producing high-quality content that attracts customers, strengthens credibility, and supports investment opportunities. Founders will also benefit from preferential access to Sony’s imaging and audio solutions, along with practical guidance on using the technology effectively.

Saif Al-Ali, Director- Licensing and Free Zone Management said: “This partnership with Sony reinforces our commitment to creating an enabling environment where founders have access to the technology and knowledge that help their businesses grow. Our role extends well beyond company formation. By working with partners who bring genuine expertise to our community, we continue to strengthen the ecosystem that entrepreneurs and SMEs rely on as they scale in the UAE and beyond.”

Meanwhile, Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa, said: “Entrepreneurs and growing businesses across the region have a tremendous opportunity to build stronger brands, reach new audiences, and scale more effectively through the right combination of technology and practical knowledge. Through our partnership with Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone, we aim to give founders access not only to Sony’s imaging solutions but also to the expertise needed to use them with purpose. We see this as a meaningful way to support the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and help businesses turn their ideas into sustainable growth.”

Strengthening Dubai’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Beyond training sessions, both organisations will collaborate on future events, community initiatives and educational programmes hosted within the free zone. As a result, founders will have recurring opportunities to develop new skills, expand professional networks and explore practical business solutions.

The partnership also reinforces Dubai South Business Hub Free Zone’s position as a founder-focused business destination within Dubai South, a master-planned district connected to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, Etihad Rail and the UAE’s major transport networks. By combining technology, education and business support, the collaboration reflects the growing emphasis on innovation-led entrepreneurship and strengthens the value proposition available to startups and SMEs operating in the free zone.
