The UAE’s first annual festival focused on exploring a career in the arts is being held by Jameel Arts Centre in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture. Jameel Arts Centre is an independent organization committed to exhibiting contemporary art to the public and engaging communities through learning, research, and commissions.
The programs will feature a variety of creative career trajectories, local and foreign higher education options, open calls for undergraduate and graduate students, residencies, internships, volunteer opportunities, and more. The session is available to anyone at no cost.
It is one of the ways that Art Jameel, the Center’s founder, and supporter, helps young people develop their talents throughout the UAE and the wider region. The center is open to young people with a creative spirit, as well as their families and teachers. It is situated on the Jaddaf Waterfront. More than 35 organizations and booths run by prestigious colleges and cultural organizations will guide visitors through the event.
Creative Careers Days is an opportunity for young people who are interested in the arts to have a chance to interact with prominent artists, curators, and business professionals. The event is filled with motivational speakers, educational sessions, and behind-the-scenes tours of the museum.
Students are welcome to participate in career surgery workshops to gain professional advice and direction on navigating the creative industries. Behind-the-scenes footage and resources are available in another multimedia research area, and the Jameel Library, which is supporting the event, offers a variety of resources on pedagogy and arts education for both students and instructors.
It has been stated that learning about art is crucial to schooling because it aids in our understanding of the outside world. When we produce or consume visual art, write poetry, or craft a tale to communicate, we start to think more critically about our surroundings.
A very broad range of soft skills is taught in art education. They can be used in a variety of job pathways, including UX design, communications, and entrepreneurship. Since artistic endeavors can be lucrative, becoming an artist may be regarded as a valued vocation, comparable to engineering and other professions, thanks to the growth of digital art and the advantages it offers.
It has been demonstrated that pupils who participate in art field trips advance academically and perform better. These and more factors should motivate anyone to visit the Jameel Arts Centre on October 23 and 24.
