The United Arab Emirates marks its 53rd Eid Al Etihad with a week of vibrant celebrations across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra region. From cultural activities and concerts to free access at iconic attractions, the events promise something special for everyone to commemorate this significant national milestone.

Free Access to Cultural Landmarks

As part of the ‘Culture for All’ initiative, Abu Dhabi is offering free entry to key attractions on December 2. Visitors can enjoy Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn, and Jebel Hafit Desert Park without any charges.

In addition, several other sites remain free and open to the public, including:

  • Al Jahili Fort
  • Qasr Al Muwaiji
  • Al Ain Oasis
  • Cultural Foundation
  • Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
  • Wahat Al Karama
  • Heritage Village

These attractions provide a unique opportunity to immerse in the UAE’s rich cultural heritage, showcasing landmarks like Saadiyat Cultural District and Al Ain Oasis.

Concerts and Family Entertainment

The Mother of the Nation (MOTN) Festival adds excitement with concerts and a space-themed family experience at Al Mugheirah Bay and Al Ain. Performances include:

  • Assad Al Bat’hari and Hamad Al Ameri on December 1
  • Eida Al Menhali and Harbi Al Ameri on December 2

This festival offers Instagram-worthy moments, cultural exhibits, and interactive family-friendly activities until December 2.

Celebrating Tradition at Sheikh Zayed Festival

Running until February 28, the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba brings history to life. Emirati folk art, traditional games, and cultural performances will be the highlight of December 1–3 celebrations.

Cultural Highlights Across Abu Dhabi

In the city, Qasr Al Hosn hosts the ‘Fort Under the Stars’ adventure on December 1 from 5–10 pm, while the ‘Heart of the Community’ pop-up continues until December 15, showcasing small businesses, artisan crafts, and culinary delights.

Manarat Al Saadiyat features an outdoor market with local crafts and workshops from December 1–4. On December 2, the Traditional Rowing Race (40-foot category) will be held at Abu Dhabi Corniche to celebrate maritime heritage.

Al Ain: A Hub of Festivities

In Al Ain, the official Eid Al Etihad ceremony will be livestreamed at Al Jahili Fort and other iconic locations on December 2. Events at Bait Mohammed Bin Khalifa include traditional performances, art workshops, and heritage games, running from December 2–3.
