Sotheby’s is set to auction The Eternal Pink, an incredibly rare diamond that experts believe will fetch over $35 million, potentially breaking records as the most expensive price per carat ever to come to market. The stunning rock is a cushion-cut diamond mounted on a ring and has been described by experts as “glowing.” It has the highest possible ranking for color quality, known as “Fancy Vivid,” and the top score for clarity, known as “Internally Flawless.” This means that no blemishes are visible under 10x magnification, making it one of the most chemically pure diamonds in the world.

The Eternal Pink is a 10.57-carat gem that is comparable to the “ultimate masterpieces of art,” according to Sotheby’s. The diamond is more unique than a Rene Magritte or Andy Warhol painting, making it an incredibly sought-after piece. It will be exhibited in several cities, including Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Geneva, before it goes up for auction on June 8th, 2023, in New York.

The rarity and beauty of The Eternal Pink are impossible to overstate, according to Wenhao Yu, Chairman of Jewelry and Watches at Sotheby’s Asia. The gem was mined by De Beers at the Damtshaa mine in Botswana, and it took six months for artisans at Diacore in New York to fashion it. The level of expertise required to produce such a remarkable piece is a true testament to the artisans’ skill, making it an iconic piece of jewelry that is sure to become a cherished possession for collectors worldwide.

The Eternal Pink’s transparency and chemical purity contribute to its incredible radiance, making it stand out from other diamonds. Its cushion-cut shape, mounted on a ring, gives it an added level of sophistication and elegance, making it the perfect statement piece for any occasion. It’s no surprise that this exceptional gem is expected to fetch such an extraordinary price at auction, and it’s sure to be the subject of much attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike.

In conclusion, The Eternal Pink is a rare, exquisite diamond that will undoubtedly become an iconic piece of jewelry. Its unparalleled qualities and unique beauty make it a sought-after treasure that collectors worldwide will covet. The diamond is a true testament to the artisans’ skill and expertise, and it’s sure to command a price that reflects its remarkable qualities.
