Expo 2020 Dubai may be the appropriate spot for those who enjoy stamps and want to learn more about them, as they are hosting the ‘Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition,’ the organizers announced.

The event, which will take place from January 19 to 23, is being organized by Emirates Post Group in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association and is expected to attract hundreds of philatelists.

The event will take place in the Dubai Exhibition Center, and it will kick off a series of eight major philatelic events that will take place all over the world in 2022. There will be 174 exhibits from 27 nations from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, America, and Oceania, as well as participation from postal administrations from the Gulf Cooperation Council and Arab countries, philatelic and numismatic dealers, and philately aficionados.

The exhibition, which aims to promote and highlight philately, or the collecting and study of postage stamps, also aims to foster cultural exchange and mutually beneficial collaborations that can help to enrich philately in the region. The event will include an exhibit, a competition, and classes organized into ten categories: traditional philately, postal history, postal stationery, thematic philately, aerophilately, astrophilately, revenues, philatelic literature, one frame, and picture postcards.

“We are honored and delighted to be a part of this global philatelic event,” said Abdulla Mohammed Khoory, president of the Emirates Philatelic Association, adding, “Organizing the ‘Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition’ is no small feat, which necessitates the involvement of commissioners and jurors, as well as the immense cooperation of exhibitors, dependable postage and stamp dealers, and sponsors.”
