Cosplayers welcomed visitors dressed as famous characters, and opportunities to meet leading industry figures were available. The convention was named after the late American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer.
The figures Iron Man, War Machine, and Black Panther are among the life-size miniatures on display, as well as a big Spider-Man hung from the conference hall ceiling.
Glass cases all throughout the arena showcase artefacts from popular films, such as the Baby Yoda puppet used in Star Wars filmmaking, helmets from “Avengers: Endgame,” and portions of Harley Quinn’s (played by Margot Robbie) clothing from “Suicide Squad.”
Rawan Qarah, a visitor to the event, dressed up as the Scarlet Witch. “I couldn’t wait to come and join when comic cons started happening here,” she added. It’s always pleasant to be here because no one makes fun of you.” She had a lot of fun looking around the artists’ booths.
Yasser Alireza and Zaid Adham were promoting their “Wayl” comic book series, a Middle Eastern psychological thriller with three editions.
A collection of watches worn in movies, including Doctor Strange’s timepiece, antique comic books from the 1950s and 1960s, and numerous lightsabers from Star Wars films are also on show at the event.
Michael Rooker, who portrayed Yondu Udonta in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Lauren Ridloff, who played Makkari in “Eternals,” and Lexi Rabe, who played Tony Stark’s daughter in “Avengers: Endgame,” were among the celebrities that met fans.
