Fear of God’s diffusion line, ESSENTIALS, has officially launched its Summer 2025 collection, reinforcing the brand’s signature philosophy of elevated simplicity. Designed by Jerry Lorenzo, the collection draws on ‘90s-inspired proportions while introducing refined materials and minimalist detailing. The drop offers an intentionally curated selection of wardrobe staples that blend contemporary ease with nostalgic streetwear cues—solidifying ESSENTIALS’ position in the realm of premium everyday wear.
Elevated Basics With Oversized Precision
The ESSENTIALS Summer 2025 collection isn’t about bold reinvention—it’s about perfecting familiar silhouettes with a modern edge. The lineup features generously cut basketball shorts, elongated hoodies, and laid-back layering pieces, all created with a distinctly relaxed fit. The oversized proportions pay homage to the 1990s, yet maintain a refined aesthetic that aligns with today’s minimalist fashion language.
The fit is central to the brand’s design ethos, offering garments that drape naturally and provide comfort without sacrificing structure. These pieces are as suitable for casual city wear as they are for elevated street styling, ensuring versatility in every look.
New Fabrics and Minimalist Branding
While the silhouettes remain faithful to ESSENTIALS’ roots, fabric innovation and subtle detailing set this season apart. For Summer 2025, the collection introduces a soft suede fleece, offering enhanced tactile comfort; bonded canvas, bringing structure to outerwear and bottoms; and versatile nylon, ideal for functional layering in warmer weather.
Branding is deliberately muted, reflecting the collection’s restrained luxury. A new discreet logo is introduced, marking a quiet evolution in the brand’s identity, while a metallic version of the stacked ESSENTIALS logo appears on select pieces, offering a touch of polished contrast without overpowering the designs.
“It’s about timelessness, not trends,” Lorenzo has previously stated, reflecting the enduring philosophy behind each ESSENTIALS release.
