At Milan Design Week 2025, Felix Godard Design introduced “Psukhe,” a groundbreaking new project that blends futuristic fiction with experimental furniture design. Displayed as part of the LABÒ Cultural Experience’s third edition, the collection marks a significant evolution in Godard’s creative journey. Renowned for designing Porsche’s first electric car interior and Europe’s first hydrogen-powered sedan, Godard has now extended his expertise into collectible furniture that seamlessly integrates narrative depth with technical precision.
“Psukhe” Armchair Bridges Fiction and Functional Design
The star of the “Psukhe” project is the Psukhe Armchair. It serves as the first piece in a series inspired by Godard’s upcoming sci-fi novel Psukhetele. Initially conceived in 2017, the collection merges engineering, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Godard’s approach pushes the boundaries of traditional design, creating objects that are both functional and visually striking.
Distinct Colour Concepts Inspired by Greek Philosophy
The collection introduces two distinct colour concepts: Blue Episteme and Nous White. Blue Episteme, rooted in the Greek idea of knowledge, features soft ash-blue tones combined with subtle grays and cyan accents. These are finished with felted wool and automotive-grade textures. Nous White, inspired by the Greek concept of perception, blends lavender and metallic blue, with fine mesh trims and matte finishes for a soft, ethereal touch.
Each piece in the “Psukhe” collection follows a detailed design process, starting with sketches and digital modelling. It progresses to full-scale foam prototyping. This approach ensures structural integrity, balance, and precision. The outcome is a futuristic collection that redefines the standards for collectible furniture design.
