Ferrari has officially unveiled the 296 GT3 Evo, a refined version of its successful GT3 and LMGT3 platform, designed to compete in the 2026 racing season. The announcement took place at Spa-Francorchamps, exactly three years after the original 296 GT3 debuted on the same circuit.

Drawing on two years of track data and client feedback, the Evo enhances aerodynamic balance, component durability, and suspension setup. While the 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine remains unchanged, Ferrari has introduced a revised gear ratio that improves torque delivery across endurance race conditions.

Sharper Aero and Smarter Pit Setup

Visually, the Evo introduces dual bonnet intakes, a redesigned rear wing with a quick-adjust mechanism, and bodywork optimized to reduce air turbulence sensitivity. These updates work in tandem with a new cooling system, particularly improving airflow to the front brake components.

Suspension kinematics have been reworked for better grip, while pit operations benefit from faster setup adjustments. Ferrari has also upgraded the cockpit, adding a stronger air conditioning system to ensure driver comfort during long stints.

Upgrade Kit for Existing Owners

In line with Ferrari’s modular design philosophy, the 296 GT3 Evo will be offered as an upgrade kit for current 296 GT3 owners. This strategy ensures that customers can access the latest performance benefits without investing in an entirely new chassis.

Since its debut, the 296 GT3 has achieved over 140 wins and 405 podiums from 343 races, cementing its place in Ferrari’s GT racing legacy. With the Evo, Ferrari aims to build on this momentum and extend its global racing success even further.
