Four new exhibitions will begin next month at the Foundry in Downtown Dubai for art lovers to enjoy. The venue, which exhibits the work of known and up-and-coming artists on a regional and global scale, will be showcasing fresh work by interesting and flexible artists.
The Dreamers by Studio Lenca
An experimental display by Studio Lenca will be featured in The Dreamers in Gallery 8 and The Room.
In a series of portraits with an autobiographical ethos that examine themes of identity displacement, Studio Lenca will draw inspiration from its observations in the souks of Bur Dubai and Deira.
The Future Past by Baber Afzal
Baber Afzal, a fine art photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist, will present an exhibition titled The Future Past at Galley 4.
Afzal captures the size and magnificence of his subjects in his larger-than-life photographs, which include breathtaking scenery and buildings like the Burj Khalifa.
Afzal’s work is frequently startling and bizarre, whether she manipulates light using techniques during or after the shoot.
Stuart Lawson’s song “Dancers Soul”
In his exhibition Dancers Soul, photographer Stuart Lawson will display a selection of hypnotic pictures of dancers from the Bolshoi ballet in Gallery 3.
It makes perfect sense to depict dancing through the visual arts. Artists including William Blake, Edward Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Matisse, and Keith Haring were all enthralled by the subject because of the clothing, energy, and expressive motions.
Dejani Bhardwaj’s book Dreams Within Dreams
In Gallery 5, Debjani Bhardwaj, an Indian artist, will present Dreams Within Dreams, a solo exhibition of her beautiful and elaborate illustrations.
Bhardwaj creates lovely and intricate images as a result of her interest in Middle Eastern folk tales and her talent for working with delicate materials like paper and ceramics.
The physicality that Debjani uses to her work, whether cutting, slicing, tearing, or piercing, is obvious on the delicate mediums she works with and concealed by the precisely composed and performed works, from tiny works to larger scale ones.
