Paris-based designer Garance Vallée has launched her first-ever furniture collection, 2093, which offers a striking glimpse into the future of interior design. Developed in collaboration with gallery Monde Singulier, the collection features five standout pieces: a lamp, armchair, candelabra, console, and bed. These items are set against a silver-toned backdrop, including plush carpets and moiré-patterned curtains, creating a futuristic atmosphere.
Vallée explains her vision for the 2093 collection as a way to merge the intimacy of the bedroom with a futuristic aesthetic. “I wanted to open the door to the vulnerable, intimate space of the bedroom and project it into the near future,” she says, blending her past inspirations with forward-thinking design.
Futuristic Bed with Wooden Shell and Metal Details
The bed stands as the focal point of the collection, featuring a wooden shell that surrounds a custom-sized mattress. Inside, metal accents form shelving on the headboard and a tray for small items. This practical yet stylish design highlights Vallée’s vision for a future that combines comfort and utility.
The metal details are repeated across the collection. The console table features brushed metal legs that double as storage cabinets, while the lamp showcases the material in its body with a frosted glass shade.
Colorful Accents and a Hard-Edged Candelabra
The collection introduces bold colors, such as a deep red lacquer on the armchair’s arms and baby blue leather on the console surface. The candelabra, made from black metal, offers a stronger material presence while softening its impact with curvaceous, flowing lines.
Showcased at Milan Design Week
2093 was displayed during Milan Design Week, which concludes on April 13. The collection gives a glimpse into the future of interior design, where innovation meets elegance.
