Giamaro Automobili has officially launched its first creation, the Katla—a hypercar engineered for extremes, powered by a quad-turbocharged V12 engine. This carbon-fiber masterpiece produces a staggering 2,128 horsepower and 1,480 lb-ft of torque, delivering track-level performance in a sleek, fighter jet-inspired body.
At the heart of the Katla lies a longitudinally mounted “hot-V” V12, paired with a rear transaxle that helps achieve an ideal 42:58 weight distribution. Even in its base configuration, the engine generates 1,647 hp at 8,500 rpm, mated to either a 7-speed AMT or an 11-speed dual-clutch transmission currently in development.
The hypercar is built on a 375-lb carbon monocoque chassis with over 29,500 lb-ft/deg of torsional rigidity, ensuring exceptional structural responsiveness. Advanced features include electronically adaptive dampers, a fully active rear wing, and massive 16.5-inch carbon ceramic brakes with 10-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers.
Visually, the Katla embraces minimalist aggression with a wide, low silhouette—188.6 inches long, 79.8 inches wide, and just 46.8 inches tall. Inside, the cockpit channels aviation aesthetics, integrating CNC-machined aluminum and carbon fiber for a high-tech, tactile experience.
Only a limited number of Katlas will be produced, cementing its status as a hyper-exclusive performance machine.
