A unique celebration of global creativity opens this week in Dubai. Art Connects Women 2025 returns with a powerful lineup, featuring 112 female artists from 112 countries. The exhibition begins on April 8 at DIFC Gate Village and runs until April 11, transforming the area into a global outdoor gallery.

This year’s edition is held under the patronage of UNESCO. The theme, ‘Leave a Legacy’, highlights the growing impact of women in arts and culture. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media, each work shares a personal and cultural story. These stories span continents—from Bolivia to Bangladesh, and Nigeria to New Zealand.

Art Meets Culture, Dialogue, and Sustainability

Organised by ZeeArts Gallery in collaboration with DIFC, this is the event’s eighth edition. It has been officially recognised as a social impact initiative by Majra UAE, further reinforcing its alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values.

Founder Zaahirah Muthy called the 2025 edition a “transformative moment” for the platform. She emphasised its growing influence and commitment to sustainability, social impact, and creative empowerment.

The programme includes much more than an art exhibition. On April 9, the artists will tour Abu Dhabi, visiting key cultural landmarks like the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Public Art Biennale, and the Abrahamic Family House. The Department of Culture and Tourism curated this cultural itinerary.

That evening, Alliance Française Dubai will host a concert to honour women’s creative expression. International performers will come together to deliver a musical tribute celebrating artistic voices from across the globe.

Spotlight on Creative Economy and Finance

On April 10, during DIFC Art Nights, the event shifts toward impact and policy. A conference titled ‘From Finance to Sustainable Impact’ will address key topics in the creative economy.

Panel discussions will cover financial literacy for creatives, sustainable investment, and how art can drive social change. The event aims to empower women with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the global creative ecosystem.

On April 11, the event will conclude with an award ceremony at One&Only Royal Mirage. Titled ‘We Are Legends: Women Leading the Way’, the evening will honour all participating artists for their leadership, creativity, and global influence.

Through powerful visual narratives, global dialogue, and cultural exchange, Art Connects Women 2025 showcases how women artists are shaping the future of creativity — not just in Dubai, but worldwide.
