The acclaimed immersive exhibition House of Kong is set to open in Downtown Los Angeles after its successful debut in London. Running from February 26 to March 19, 2026, the experience invites visitors to explore the world of the renowned virtual band. Although it maintains the creative spirit of the original London showcase, the LA edition expands the journey by placing fans inside the band’s evolving narrative. Additionally, tickets come with presale access to two exclusive LA shows, creating even more anticipation around the exhibition.
Inside the Immersive Experience
Developed with Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the exhibition examines the band’s misadventures, sound experimentation, and visual evolution. It highlights the creative energy behind Murdoc Niccals, 2D, Russel Hobbs, and Noodle, guiding visitors deeper into their universe. As guests move through the space, they encounter audio-visual installations that reflect the group’s offbeat humor and boundary-pushing art. Stephen Gallagher, who crafted the concept with his studio SWEAR, explained, “House of Kong is not a retrospective, it’s an audio-visual artwork; an installation that takes a glance backwards in order to identify the path ahead.” He added, “It’s an honour to have been part of the Gorillaz family over the last 8 years. The outpouring of music and art that I have found myself immersed in, has changed my life. I hope that some of that comes across in this show. This is no ordinary exhibition because in the world of Gorillaz, nothing is ever quite as it seems…”
Ticket Access and Special Performances
Visitors purchasing exhibition tickets gain presale access to two special performances taking place on February 22 and 23 at the Hollywood Palladium. During these shows, Damon Albarn and the live band will perform the upcoming album The Mountain in full, joined by special guests. Because this offer is exclusive to ticket holders, demand is expected to rise quickly. Tickets start at $39.50 USD and are on sale now. The exhibition will be held at Rolling Greens DTLA, located at 1005 Mateo Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021.
