Swatch and Blancpain have unveiled the GREEN ABYSS, a striking new addition to their Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms series, inspired by the mysterious depths of the ocean. Following the earlier PINK OCEAN edition, this latest release offers a fresh look for explorers and watch enthusiasts alike.
The watch features a deep green case, complemented by sandy beige and black accents that evoke underwater ecosystems. Notably, it includes a genuine water contact indicator positioned at 6 o’clock. This feature, highly prized by collectors, changes color to signal moisture and has been incorporated by Blancpain in select models since 1954, ensuring the watch’s water resistance.
Like other Fifty Fathoms editions, the GREEN ABYSS offers excellent water resistance and runs on Swatch’s innovative SISTEM51 movement. This movement boasts a 90-hour power reserve and an anti-magnetic Nivachron hairspring, combining reliability with precision. The transparent caseback reveals a digital print of the Felimare picta nudibranch, a colorful sea creature symbolizing the ocean’s wonders.
Priced at $400 USD, the GREEN ABYSS launches on June 7, 2025. It will be available at select Swatch stores with a strict limit of one watch per person per store each day. For a complete list of participating retailers, visit Swatch’s official website.
