The first round of headliners for the inaugural ULTRA Abu Dhabi festival, which will take place March 4-5 at Etihad Park, have been revealed by the international music festival ULTRA Worldwide. “Multi-award winning and platinum-record selling artist Afrojack is no stranger to headlining ULTRA Main Stages across the world, and will be on hand to deliver yet another high-octane set,” organizers said.
“Responsible for some of the biggest hits in the world, Grammy-nominated Calvin Harris will bring the beats to Yas Island for one of his signature high-energy sets (and) Dharma Worldwide boss KSHMR will whip the crowd into a frenzy with his culture-crossing sonics,” they also said.
NGHTMRE, a co-founder of the Gud Vibrations record label, will perform on the Main Stage with his distinct brand of electronic music, while Skrillex, an electronic dance music producer with the most Grammy Awards (eight), will bring his shape-shifting soundscapes to the festival. The originator of Drumcode and Swedish techno legend Adam Beyer will perform at RESISTANCE, an underground techno and house concept presented by ULTRA Abu Dhabi.
Amelie Lens, a producer and the head of the EXHALE label, will bring her mesmerizing brand of techno back to the Middle East, while British superstars Sasha John Digweed will bring their decades of experience on the dance floor to Abu Dhabi, they added. On Yas Island, Etihad Park is one of the world’s top leisure and entertainment attractions and the largest outdoor facility in the area.
As the most international music festival brand with active events on all six inhabited continents, it should come as no surprise that ULTRA Worldwide’s Middle East debut will be one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the UAE this year. “ULTRA Worldwide sets the benchmark when it comes to delivering the ultimate festival experience, combining top-tier talent, cutting-edge technology, and large-scale productions,” the statement continued.
A premium general experience pass for the three-day festival will grant holders access to designated admission gates, restrooms, food and beverage outlets, as well as a private lounge area. VVIP passes will also be available.
