Hyundai has officially unveiled the ELEXIO, its first China-exclusive electric SUV, built on the automaker’s E-GMP platform. The debut marks a major milestone for Hyundai as it strengthens its foothold in the world’s most competitive EV market.
At the center of the ELEXIO experience is Dolby Atmos — offered as standard equipment for the first time in any Hyundai model. The SUV features six integrated speakers, with an optional BOSE external amplifier expanding the setup to eight channels, turning the cabin into a true entertainment hub on wheels.
Streaming is built directly into the system through Kugou Music and iQIYI, allowing passengers to enjoy Dolby Atmos content natively without external devices. Together, the setup redefines in-car entertainment, fusing immersive spatial audio with Hyundai’s digital-first design ethos.
Inside, technology takes center stage. The 27-inch 4K ultra-widescreen display, powered by Qualcomm’s 8295 chipset, anchors the dashboard and connects seamlessly with a high-contrast head-up display (HUD). The combination underscores Hyundai’s smart-cockpit ambitions, offering a level of tech sophistication that blends luxury and function.
Powering the ELEXIO is an 88.1 kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 722 km (CLTC) on a single charge. DC fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 27 minutes, making it a strong contender for long-distance driving in China’s growing EV landscape.
The launch of the ELEXIO aligns with Hyundai’s global strategy — “In China, For China, To Global” — signaling the brand’s commitment to innovation tailored to local markets while setting a foundation for its next-generation NEV (New Energy Vehicle) lineup in the years ahead.
