Ice Spice, the “Princess of Rap,” has transformed the Mercedes-Benz CLA into a unique molten chrome masterpiece. As part of the Class of Creators collaboration, Mercedes-Benz invited Ice Spice to create a one-of-a-kind version of the new CLA. This project celebrates the blend of music, fashion, and design.
Ice Spice’s Custom Touch
The custom CLA is as bold as Ice Spice herself. It features molten chrome with “Ice Spice” wheels, chainlink trims, and a prominent pink “Princess” motif across the center. The car’s exterior gleams with a reflective finish, catching the light in stunning ways. The chrome windows keep the interior hidden, but it’s easy to imagine Ice Spice behind the wheel, cruising with her unique flair.
A Night of Music and Fashion
The debut of the custom CLA took place at the Mercedes dealership in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen. The event featured live performances by the cast of the Broadway show Hell’s Kitchen, with DJ LPX spinning tracks. Guests enjoyed the art-on-wheels and got a preview of Ice Spice’s capsule collection of black and pastel hoodies and T-shirts, launching soon.
More Artful Collaborations to Come
Ice Spice’s custom CLA is just the beginning. Mercedes-Benz’s Class of Creators also includes artists like Gustaf Westman, KidSuper, League of Legends, and Hot Wheels.
