Imagine Dragons, a multi-platinum, GRAMMY®-winning band, has just announced the UAE leg of their extensive Mercury World Tour. On January 26, 2023, Mercury — Acts 1 & 2 (KIDinaKORNER/Interscope) will make a stop in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi as part of their Live Nation-produced tour. The concert will take place at the Etihad Arena.
The band delivers their most audacious artistic statement to date with the 32-track epic. The double album, which builds on “Mercury — Act 1” from 2021, features the smash singles “Enemy,” “Bones,” and “Sharks.” Rick Rubin served as executive producer. Themes like love, religion, pain, passion, and loss are explored in Act 1 while dealing with personal loss and their largest existential problems is the centre of Act 2.
Imagine Dragons’ previous bombastic chart-topping song releases helped prepare the ground for the release of their new album. Over 331 million people have listened to “Bones.” so far, and over 31 million people have watched the music video that goes along with it on YouTube.
The song received a lot of praise and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. Their previous song, the worldwide hit “Enemy,” had amassed 4.6 billion streams overall over two versions (including a collaboration with GRAMMY-nominated, East Atlanta-based rapper J.I.D). The song “Enemy,” which was chosen for Riot Games’ animated series “Arcane,” reached the top spot on Alternative Radio and Top 40 Radio.
