INDEX, the Mena region’s largest and most important global interior and fit-out trade event, will be back in Dubai this month with a packed schedule of conferences, seminars, and activities. The renowned trade expo will take place from May 24 to 26 at the World Trade Center, Dubai. The event will include some of the biggest names in the industry as well as local talent.
Since 1991, thousands of trade visitors have attended the event in Dubai, making it the largest single trading and networking event on the Middle Eastern A&D sector calendar. According to the organizers, this year will be no different.
Visitors can hear from world-renowned interior designers, see large-scale entry installations, and source crucial materials from a variety of industries, including local and international distributors and manufacturers, during the course of the three-day event. Various conferences and seminars, including Index Design Talks, will feature a varied range of experts from the interior design world.
Expert speakers will cover a wide range of topics, including integrating design with NFTs, luxury hospitality experiences, how to cultivate timeless designs in the metaverse, storytelling with design, nurturing the skillset of the future, and never-before-seen friendly fire debates on stage around free work and pen-paper sketching, according to the organizers. For over 20 years, the workspace has been a key component of the event, connecting businesses with the most up-to-date commercial design solutions.
Workspace at Index is a specialized area at the event that connects buyers and suppliers with smart-office technology, design and fit-out ideas, and wellness solutions.
The Workspace Design Summit is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together architects, interior designers, purchasing managers, CEOs, GMs, and MDs from regional and international markets to discuss the latest trends in hybrid working models, biophilic designs, art in commercial spaces, employee experience, and wellness. Plus, case studies from FedEx Express, PwC, and L’Oréal, as well as a never-before-seen special masterclass from FedEx.
Finally, in conjunction with the UAE Ministry of Education Creative Arts Academy, Index Dubai has invited ambitious Emirati interior design students to participate in a Q&A panel discussion with some of the region’s most prominent designers, according to the organizers.
According to them, this workshop will focus on educating young minds ready to learn interior design fundamentals as well as presenting some of the most critical factors while preparing to take their next career step.
Saudi Aramco, THE One, Home Centre, JYSK, Bishop Design, Roar, LW Design, Broadway Interiors, Gensler, dwp, FedEx Express, Chalhoub Group, Summertown Interiors, the American University of Sharjah, and DZ Design will be among the speakers this year, according to Lemmens.
