Jacquemus is set to revive Nike’s legendary 1972 Moon Shoe with a fresh collaboration, bringing a deconstructed, runway-ready version of the classic sneaker to the modern market. The project first appeared on Jacquemus’ Fall/Winter 2025 runway in January, generating anticipation for its three official colorways.
Design and aesthetics
The Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe is offered in three striking iterations: “Black,” “Pale Yellow 2,” and “Dark Red.” Each features a deconstructed upper, retro Swoosh detailing on both sides, Jacquemus branding on the tongue, and a co-branded gum brown waffle sole.
- The “Black” version incorporates off-white and green accents for subtle contrast.
- “Pale Yellow 2” pairs soft yellow tones with black detailing.
- The “Dark Red” model balances deep red with off-white and black elements.
This reinterpretation stays faithful to the Moon Shoe’s original aesthetic while introducing Jacquemus’ signature minimalistic and contemporary touch, making it a standout for collectors and sneaker enthusiasts alike.
Release details
Jacquemus has prepared product pages for all three versions, each listed as “coming soon” with a retail price of $180 USD. While an exact release date has not yet been confirmed by Jacquemus or Nike, the collaboration is expected to launch in September 2025.
This partnership marks a continuation of Jacquemus’ exploration of footwear and streetwear culture, blending archival design with modern fashion sensibilities. Fans of both brands can look forward to a limited-edition sneaker that merges heritage, style, and functionality in one iconic release.
