In order to present an exclusive NFT collection, aespa, the hugely successful and futuristic female K-Pop group from SM Entertainment, which consists of four members and four virtual counterparts, is collaborating with visual artist and NFT queen Blake Kathryn. The collection, accessible exclusively through Sotheby’s Metaverse from Thursday, October 13 at 5 pm EST through Friday, October 21 at 11 am EST, represents the first-ever cooperation between a K-pop group and a global NFT artist. Connecting dotts, an APAC/US strategy agency that connects brands, consumers, talent, content creators, and INVNT.ATOMTM, a global revolutionary brand experience agency at the forefront of the digital frontier, worked together to establish this partnership.

The personalities, distinctive characteristics, and band members’ avatars are all included in each piece of art from the ae girls NFT collection in a way that perfectly complements Blake Kathryn’s surreal futurist aesthetics, resulting in the height of artist collaboration. SM Entertainment specifically crafted the environment for this collection.

Each series of the ae-girls collection will be available for 48 hours during the week-long auction, and it will be open to all potential buyers and bidders. Not simply cryptocurrency but also credit cards are accepted for bidding. The price for MY Pass and Limited Edition NFTs will be set in advance. Sotheby’s, the world’s top location for art and luxury, will hold a preview exhibition of all the digital artwork in Hong Kong from October 2 through October 9, along with highlights from Sotheby’s Fall 2022 sales series, including Modern & Contemporary Art. From October 13 through October 20, an exhibition will be held in Sotheby’s galleries in New York

A three-part series, first the MY pass, followed by Altars and dreamspace, is part of the ae-girls NFT collection. K-pop is currently the most potent cultural force, according to Rita Magnus, the managing director of connecting dots. She says, “This fervent following will be introduced to the Web3 community through the “ladies collection,” offering fans a totally new way to interact with their favorite band. It has been a fantastic first to bring these worlds together with talents like aespa and Blake.”

“Communities of collectors and fans now have a variety of new ways to interact with their favorite singers and artists thanks to NFTs’ versatility. We are delighted to offer this auction exclusively at Sotheby’s Metaverse because this partnership between aespa and the artist Blake Kathryn exemplifies how digital art and NFTs can unite the real and virtual worlds to give fans a unique experience that is only possible with NFTs,” says Michael Bouhanna, Sotheby’s Head of NFTs and Digital Art.
