For Khaite, minimalism is never simple. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection by Catherine Holstein balances grace with strength, showcasing duality in every piece. While the Khaite woman is poised and confident, Holstein’s latest designs invite wearers to embrace imperfection, proving that undone can be just as chic.
The runway at The Shed featured jagged pathways and pools of water, a metaphor for “walking on shaken ground.” Holstein introduced asymmetrical silhouettes, rough hems, and warped fabrics across matching sets, button-downs, and blouses. Playful textures like fur dots, flower appliqués, and thick knit fibers added tactile depth, while leather jackets cropped above the bust and power pantsuits with tulle details redefined wardrobe staples with a daring, contemporary edge.
Beauty in Effortless Style
Beauty was minimal yet striking. Models’ faces were primed with Monastery skincare and highlighted with subtle, smudged charcoal eyeliner by NARS, reinforcing the collection’s ethos of effortless, natural beauty. Athena Hewett, founder of Monastery, emphasized that the organic glow mirrored the collection’s message: elegance need not always be meticulously polished.
Khaite SS26 explores the allure of imperfection, blending bold textures, innovative shapes, and understated beauty into a collection that feels both intimate and transformative.
