Lamborghini and Babolat have unveiled the BL002, a new high-performance padel racquet. Following the success of the BL001, this latest model brings together Lamborghini’s expertise in carbon fiber technology and Babolat’s deep understanding of racquet sports. Designed for both padel enthusiasts and luxury car fans, the BL002 delivers power, precision, and control.
Launching in April 2025, the BL002 weighs just 360 grams. Its frame, made from 3K carbon and Koridion foam, ensures optimal energy transfer. These advanced materials, also used in Lamborghini’s supercars, enhance durability while maintaining a lightweight feel. The result is a racquet that maximizes performance on the court.
Exclusive Design and Limited Availability
The BL002 comes in two Lamborghini-inspired colorways—green and black. Unlike its predecessor, developed in Sant’Agata Bolognese, this version was engineered at Babolat’s Padel Studio in Barcelona. Lamborghini’s engineers contributed their expertise in materials and production techniques, ensuring a seamless combination of automotive and sports technology.
With only 5,000 units available, this limited-edition racquet is set to become a collector’s item. “This collaboration merges two worlds—luxury automotive engineering and high-performance racquet sports,” said Ranieri Niccoli, Chief Manufacturing Officer of Lamborghini. Babolat CEO Eric Babolat added that the project represents a shared commitment to innovation.
Global Launch and Purchase Details
The BL002 will be available for purchase in April 2025 through Babolat’s official website and select retailers worldwide. With its limited production, demand is expected to be high among both athletes and collectors.
This latest collaboration also showcases the perfect fusion of advanced engineering and sports innovation, reinforcing both brands’ dedication to excellence.
