Lexus has officially revealed the 2025 IS 500 Ultimate Edition, a limited-run model paying homage to the brand’s iconic naturally aspirated V8 sports sedan. Production is capped at just 500 units, with deliveries expected this fall.
Performance and Exclusive Design Highlights
Under the hood, the IS 500 Ultimate Edition features a robust 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 472 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission. To enhance stopping power, Brembo brakes with distinctive red calipers are paired with forged BBS alloy wheels finished in matte black, underscoring the car’s sporty character.
The exterior showcases a new “Wind” metallic gray paint complemented by gloss black accents. Matte black BBS wheels complete the aggressive stance. Inside, the cabin embraces a striking Circuit Red and Black theme, featuring Ultrasuede trim, red seatbelts, and serialized badging that marks its exclusivity. Subtle touches like an analog clock with laser etching and a unique startup animation add refinement.
Advanced Safety and Technology Features
Standard on the Ultimate Edition is Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, and pre-collision systems. These technologies ensure that the performance-focused sedan remains safe and confident on the road.
While pricing details will be announced closer to the launch date, Lexus enthusiasts can expect this edition to become a collector’s item and a fitting send-off to the naturally aspirated V8 in the IS lineup.
