Maison Margiela is extending its distinctive creative identity into the world of luxury real estate, introducing its first architectural venture on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. The project, Maison Margiela Residences, transfers the brand’s conceptual design language from fashion to living spaces, offering a new interpretation of avant-garde luxury.
A New Expression of Materiality and Craft
The development features 25 limited residences crafted in collaboration with architect Carlo Colombo. Each home embraces the Maison’s fascination with construction and transformation, and it does so through finishes that challenge convention. Surfaces filled with resin, travertine with décortiqué treatment, and optical-white design elements help shift perception while elevating the overall spatial experience. Additionally, the interiors include exclusive furniture pieces—such as lighting, beds, and tables—that further express the brand’s sculptural approach to materiality.
As a result, the residences create spaces defined by subtle tension and quiet rebellion, yet they still maintain an atmosphere of refined intimacy.
A Lifestyle Framed by Culture and Discretion
Residents will gain access to a curated selection of amenities that reinforce the Maison’s creative ethos. These include a private art gallery, spa facilities, and dedicated fitness studios. The project also introduces a Margiela Café, offering another touchpoint with the brand’s cultural universe.
This move aligns with the broader growth of the brand’s presence in the region, particularly as new boutiques continue to open. Renzo Rosso noted that this represents the first step in a larger vision “to define the unmistakable style of a one-of-a-kind fashion house.”
