Maison Margiela has expanded its Sprinters sneaker line with the release of four new colourways, blending the brand’s avant-garde aesthetic with athletic heritage. Available now, the updated models are priced between $820 and $875 USD and can be purchased directly from Maison Margiela.
The latest additions to the Sprinters Collection include vibrant lemon yellow with blue accents, kiwi green with blue detailing, and two new monochromatic offerings—classic black-and-white and a sleek white-and-gray version. Looking ahead, Maison Margiela has confirmed three more colourways—dark green, light blue, and oxblood—set to launch in July 2025.
A Fusion of Vintage Athletics and Margiela Minimalism
The Sprinters silhouette draws subtle inspiration from the iconic Nike Moon Shoe, first crafted for the 1972 Olympics. While it channels the Moon Shoe’s streamlined profile, Margiela reinterprets it through the lens of its signature deconstructed style.
Each pair features a block-colour upper composed of premium materials like smooth calfskin, suede, and vintage-treated nylon. The layering of textures adds depth, while cleated gum soles provide a rugged contrast. Signature branding elements include the white stitch on the rear pull tab and Maison Margiela’s numeric tongue label—hallmarks of the French fashion house’s footwear design.
With this new release, the Sprinters Collection continues to merge sport functionality with runway-worthy sophistication, reinforcing Maison Margiela’s place at the intersection of luxury and innovation.
